8 oz (225 g) mushrooms (shiitake or button), sliced
2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced (9 g)
3 tbsp (45 ml) oyster sauce
1 tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce
1 tsp (5 g) sugar
¼ cup (60 ml) water or vegetable broth
1 tsp cornstarch (3 g), optional for thickening
Salt and pepper, to taste
Sesame seeds or green onions, for garnish (optional)
