Baked Beans & Ground Beef Casserole

This hearty and flavorful casserole is a comforting classic,

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 medium green bell pepper, diced
1 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard (or Dijon for a bit of tang)
½ cup packed brown sugar (light or dark, your preference)
1 (28 ounce) can baked beans (such as Bush’s Original or your favorite brand)
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smoky flavor)
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional topping: crumbled cooked bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, or crispy fried onions
