1. Preheat Oven
Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cook the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease, then stir in marinara sauce. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Make the Cheese Filling
In a medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
4. Assemble the Lasagna
In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer as follows:
Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.
Add a layer of noodles.
Spread a layer of the cheese mixture.
Sprinkle mozzarella.
Repeat the layers, finishing with meat sauce on top.
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
5. Bake
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden on top.
6. Rest & Serve
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
