Ingredients
For each spice cake layer (x2):
1 box spice cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
For the gooey pumpkin filling:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
3 1/2β4 cups powdered sugar
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1β2 tbsp heavy cream (as needed for consistency)
